Located just east of Grand Rapids is the village of Ada; a small welcoming town on the Grand River. Recently in 2022, construction has begun on the Ada House ‘boutique hotel’ which will be situated along the Thornapple River across from Legacy Park.
AHC Hospitality–who manages the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel in downtown Grand Rapids–hopes to use the hotel space in novel ways to “complement the authentic charm and character of the village”. The three-story project within walking distance of the Ada downtown will feature over forty guest rooms, a restaurant, lounge, and rooftop bar.
The concept is directly inspired by the historic Ada Hotel that burned down in 1942 and was a centerpiece of the small town in the early 20th century.
Ada being the corporate home of Alticor and its subsidiary Amway as well as being a short commute to Grand Rapids makes this new project a great option for visiting professionals in the area who may prefer the feel of a smaller town. With ground being newly broken this past February, the project is planned to be finished in 2023.
