Ron’s Gone Wrong (Disney+, December 15th)
Though this movie has already been released nationwide it’s still a good holiday movie to catch on Disney+. This story follows Barney (voiced by Dylan Grazer) a middle-schooler and his new “Best Friend out of the Box”, a small robot named Ron (voiced by Zac Galifianakis). The story follows the hilarious malfunctions that Ron has while Barney tries to come to terms with what friendship is.

Spiderman: No Way Home (Nationwide, December 17th)
Absolutely everyone I know is excited for this movie, so if you aren’t you must just not like Marvel. If you haven’t seen the last Spiderman movie, turn back now cause I’m spilling spoilers. At the end of Spiderman: Homecoming we saw Peter Parker (Tom Holland) get unmasked for the world to see. IN this new movie we see Peter try to rectify this problem by turning to Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) to see if magic can fix this. Unfortunately for them some things go very wrong and they create a rift between the multiverses of Marvel, in doing so they bring over many of the bad guys of old, which includes Doctor Octopus (Alfred Molina) and Electro (Jamie Foxx). Make sure you watch to find out what happens, because I’ve heard past Spiderman’s might make an appearance as well.
Grumpy Christmas (Netflix, December 21st)
Making a return to the big screen (or just Netflix) Don Servando played by Héctor Bonilla joins his son (Fran played by Benny Ibarra), daughter-in-law (Alma played by Jacqueline Barcamotes), and a band of hippies on a trip to the beach to spend Christmas with Alma’s aunt. Don’s position in the family is put into question and he’ll do nothing to prove himself even if it means ruining Christmas for everyone.
The Kings Man (Nationwide, December 22nd)
In a genius prequel to the Kingsman franchise this movie explores the origins for the Kingsman organization in the early 1900s and up to World War I. It stars a multitude of actors including: Harris Dickinson, Gemma Arterton, Ralph Fiennes, Rhys Ifans, and Djimon Hounsou.
The Tragedy of Macbeth (Nationwide, December 25th)
Fan of old literature or maybe just William Shakespear in general? Make sure you catch this retelling of Macbeth. If you’ve never read the play’s script or have seen the play in action don’t worry, this one doesn’t stray far from the source material. Though do keep in mind that it is rated R, it is not a movie for young children. Starring Denzel Washington as Lord Macbeth and Corey Hawkins as Macduff the cast is chalk full of wonderful actors that are sure to keep you intrigued no matter if you know the old tale of Macbeth or not.
Encanto (Disney+, December 24th)
If you want a more family-friendly movie, don’t miss Encanto. It has been out nationwide since Thanksgiving, but soon comes to your home in the form of Disney+. When Mirabel (Stephanie Beatriz), the only person in town not blessed with magic, finds that the magic of Encanto is in danger she takes it upon herself to find out what’s wrong and to fix it.

Things go awry when Peter’s mother, played by Kathy Najimy sets him up on a blind date with her trainer, James played by Luke Macfarlane.

Malevolent forces cause the most precious resource in existence, believed to be capable of unlocking humanity’s greatest potential, to become even more rare.
