West Michigan is a state filled with many things. It’s filled with many lakes, breweries and of course — some pretty scary attractions. As Halloween approaches, many people will be searching online for the scariest attractions in West Michigan. Some are looking for a haunted house while others are looking for a place to scare their loved ones. We compiled our list below of the Top 5 Spooky Attractions in West Michigan.
1. Abandoned Acres Farm
Abandoned Acres Farm, a 100-year-old farm with over 40 acres of rolling landscape including foreboding woods, surreal creeks, fruit orchards and more situated on Fruit Ridge Ave just 10 minutes north of Grand Rapids, Michigan. Be prepared to be scared because Abandoned Acres Farm is a unique and immersive experience.
2. Felt Mansion
The magnificent Felt Mansion is located between Saugatuck and Holland on the dunes along Lake Michigan. The ghost of Agnes Dorr, who passed away six weeks after moving into the home in 1928, is said to haunt the mansion. At the upcoming Hauntings and History Nights at Felt Mansion, you can decide for yourself whether the ghostly legend is true.
3. Trail Of Terror
Trail of Terror and the Corn Maze are two separate attractions. As actors scare you, walk through a haunted pathway through the woods. The maze is made to be fascinating and not the typical boring block pattern of a lot of mazes.
4. Cages of Carnage
Night Terrors and Prison Break are two separate walkthroughs for Cages of Carnage. Both involve crossing an indoor maze-like path and the prison’s exterior. All proceeds from this attraction, which is entirely volunteer-run, go to the local fire departments. The whole family will have a terrific time with Cages of Carnage.
5. Haunt Park
One of four unique attractions at this historical Kalamazoo location. Participants are given the chance to put down the dead with 150 paintball rounds before daring to explore the Psycho Ward, where they will look directly into the mind of an infamous serial killer, the funeral home run by his family, or the haunted mansion that causes everyone who enters to believe in ghosts.
